Wedding Wednesday... The Finale

Wedding Wednesday has come to a sort-of-end.
My wedding is over, but I will share on occassion a few tips to help keep new brides sane.

So here we are... our Reception...

E and I waved good-bye to our guests for the time-being as we started on our journey through the "jungle" to take some fabulous pictures.
It was so much fun... I wish I had pictures of me in my flip flops, full on wedding dress with champagne flutes and bottle in hand lol oh yes.. and the bouquet... cannot forget that thing.

Typical... I was being silly, and just when I wanted to take a nice picture finally, E pulls his usual move lol.

Bloopers :This dock has major hurricane damage and It literally was moving with every wave that came crashing on it. I did also see a very pretty color crab that I was scared to catch. In this hut, there was also a guy we shall call Mr. Creeper McCreeperson.

After enduring the long walk and the giant hive of bees ... another funny blooper... we finally made it to our reception. Where ... we finally lost the bet (who would cry first?... although sources say it was E after the reception ... )

And then I cried as E and I sang to each other.

Our lovely set-up: Our colors weren't really "set". I wanted bright colors. I love bright colors. I wanted a very bold color-- I chose purple. I added some yellow in to tone it down and some lime green to give it that statement look. Overall, it looked great :)

We changed EJ out of his Suit and into his lovely cargo-ish white pants and Guayabera (like his uncles and the rest of our guests)

I danced with my daddy... and this too brought me to tears.

And then E danced with his mom. This was such a sweet moment.

We had our toasts, and my niece decided "ain't nobody got time for that!" (she's cute!)

Our cake topper was very much us... E use to play soccer, and on occasion still does indulge. I use to go watch every single one of his games and was his #1 fan. I get anxiety now when I watch him play since his injury a few years back. but this just seemed like the most fitting topper for us.

All of our guests seemed to have a ton of fun. Everyone was drinking and being merry... even the waitstaff was amazing. We were blessed to have a friend of ours work in a nearby town and provide a fabulous DJ. So overall... I would not change a thing.

Sometimes I look back and get a little sad that we could not have more of our family and close friends there with us, but then I stop myself and remember that we were blessed to be able to have a wedding in the first place (finally).  Maybe one day we can celebrate our anniversary down the road and have a big bash for everyone to attend.

And that is how we became Mr. & Mrs. Z
